The Scrum Master will:
- Coach the team to be self-organized and cross-functional, adopting Agile practices that enable to efficiently deliver high value products.
- Increase the efficiency of the Agile team through:
- Organizing/facilitating scrum events such as sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
- Helping the team navigate the various Agile processes: identification of tasks, effort sizing, progress reporting, demo and continuous improvement.
- Helping remove impediments: managing conflicting interests, negotiating inputs between different parties, proactively identifying issues and risks and adjusting scope, etc., including in relation to technical issues and testing environments.
- Coach the Agile team to adapt to an environment where Agile is not fully deployed/understood.
- Collect and analyze the necessary team KPIs (velocity, predictability …)
- Facilitate team transparency and share progress using the appropriate communication channels.
- Work with stakeholders and team members to continuously improve quality and productivity.
- Follow-up, report and contribute to risks management (e.g., compliance, security, procurement/finance/licenses)
- Ensure that deliverables follow guidelines and standards (e.g., documentation)
To apply for this role, you have (or will acquire):
- Sound knowledge of the Agile Values and Principles. A Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills. You demonstrate a good drive and the ability to “make things happen”, to challenge and overcome resistance.
- Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills
- Good influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal. You are able to communicate with a diversity of stakeholders.
- Experience in or knowledge of the STP assets, so that you are able to discuss on equal footing with functional analysts, developers and testers.
- Good command of English and French, both written and oral
- Are a strong and approachable team player
- Are Client focused and delivery oriented, capable to remain positive in the face of challenge or under pressure
- Are able to learn quickly, to adjust to new information and to think outside the box
- Are at ease in a fast-changing environment, flexible and able to reprioritize tasks.
- Are able to manage a diverse team, composed of internal and provider resources working from various locations (Paris, Krakow, home) and expressing themselves in different languages (French, English)
- Are willing to travel 10%.
